Kingdom Of Ash, by Sarah J. Maas

The last of Aelin Galathynius's stories is a weighty tome packed with uncovered secrets, dangerous battles, and sizzling relationships.

From the blurb;

'The final battle is here. ' Aelin Galathynius has risked everything to save her people - but at tremendous cost. Locked in an iron coffin by the Queen of the Fae, Aelin must us all her fiery will to endure the torture inflicted upon her.

'If she yields to Maeve she will doom everyone she loves, but her resolve is beginning to unravel...

'With Aelin imprisoned, her friends must do on without her. Some bonds will deepen, while others will be severed forever. But as destinies weave together at last, all must unite as Aelin fights to save herself - and the promise of a better world.'

Sarah J. Maas runs into this novel, and gifts us a main character with no more restrictions, who is prepared to unveil all the secrets and plots that have got her this far.

As always Maas uses her character switching chapter technique to give us a complete view of the story as it unravels. By Kingdom Of Ash that's a lot of characters to play with, and a broad view to offer, and an epic amount of story-line to enjoy.

Throughout the Throne Of Glass series Maas has gifted us with a cast of brilliant characters, all of whom we have fallen in love with, and in Kingdom Of Ash she rewards us by completing each of their individual arcs. It is not an easy road for any of these characters, yet we're unequivocally happy with where Maas leaves them.

Kingdom Of Ash contains mature content and is not advised for younger readers.
