Return to the world of the Inheritance Games as Jennifer Lynn Barnes draws us back into her maze of complex challenges, found-family and devastating romance.

From the blurb;
'A family secret.
'Grayson Hawthorne was raised as the heir apparent to his billionaire grandfather and taught to put family first, always. So when his half-sisters find themselves in trouble, he's determined to take care of the problem.
'An irresistible challenge.
'Jameson Hawthorne is a risk-taker, a sensation-seeker, a player of games. So when his mysterious father sets him a challenge, Jameson can't resist. Now he must infiltrate London's most exclusive underground gambling club and win an impossible game of the highest stakes. Luckily, Jameson lives for the impossible.
'Hearts and lives are at stake.
'Drawn into twisted games on opposite sides of the globe, the brothers - with the help of the girl who stole both their hearts - must dig deep to decide what each of them will sacrifice to win.'
Fans will not want to miss out on this explosive continuation to the Inheritance Games series. Throwing us in straight at the action Barnes sets up her return to this world swiftly, then pulls our much loved cast of characters apart to begin two stories on either side of the pond.
Told from Grayson and Jameson's perspectives the novel switches between our two main characters every few chapters, always leaving off at a cliff-hanger moment to ensure this book is impossible to put down. As we join the brothers in their attempts to complete their individual puzzles we too are given a puzzle of our own to solve. Laced throughout the novel are glimpses back through time, to interactions the brother had with The Old Man, their grandfather, a character who remains as elusive as anything four books in.
Aside from the puzzle of the distant past Jameson is also keeping a more recent past secret from Avery, and this secret is threatening to pull them apart. As the reader we're given just enough crumbs to start pulling these two things together, but trying to figure out this puzzle before Barnes can give us the answer is the challenge and the fun of The Bothers Hawthorne.
Outside of the games themselves this insider glimpse into the minds and workings of Jameson and Grayson, and from there the expansion on their relationships with their other to brothers, Nash and Xander, is an absolute treat for fans. A chance to find out more about the two handsome brothers we've fallen head-over-heels for in the last three books, growing our understanding for the choices they have and haven't made throughout the series.
Barnes, while marvellous at creating the puzzles which give her books the feel of a true game, also shows off her ability to grow and expand her characters. Breathing a new layer of life into the brothers Hawthorne which we hope to see expanded further in future novels.
A roller-coaster of a book, Barnes does not disappoint with this fourth instalment and will leave fans desperate for more from her game filed world.
